Liberty Plaza under major refurbishment, new apartment complex underway

Sri Lanka's first high-class shopping mall, the Liberty Plaza at Kollupitiya, is undergoing a major re-development coupled with a new apartment complex coming up on adjoining land. Owners, the Colombo Land and Development Co (CLDC), under new ownership and expanding to the growing of teak and mahogany trees from its core real estate business, is also developing vast tracts of its property in Pettah.

Liberty Plaza in Rs. 100mn tie-up with foreign investor * To develop food court, fine dining restaurants

Liberty Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Colombo Land & Development Co. PLC, the developer of the country's first shopping mall Liberty Plaza, has signed up with a foreign investor to develop a food court and fine dining restaurants, the company said in a statement.
